Academic Eligibility Checks The next grade check will be on November 7 at 4pm. These grade checks take place to promote academic success and to verify extracurricular eligibility. For the 2025-2026 school year, grade checks will take place during weeks 3, 6, and 9 of each quarter (on Fridays at 4:00pm). Students must pass at least 3 semester credits (6 classes) per semester to remain eligible. Career/technical classes meeting two periods count as 1 full credit. Students failing 2 or more classes, or who are behind pace in an online class (9+ assignments behind), will be declared ineligible for 1 week (Monday - Friday). Ineligible students, parents, and coaches will be notified via email by the AD before Monday. Rechecks occur the following Friday after 4:00pm. Students who receive a failing grade for the quarter or semester will be declared ineligible for 2 weeks. Fall semester ineligibility carries over to the spring semester. Spring semester ineligibility carries over to the fall semester. For more details on Eligibility Checks, see page 35-36 in the 2025-26 Student Handbook.
Fundraiser for 10th grader Isaiah Turrubiates: On Friday, November 7, VCHS Student Council will be holding a fundraiser to help raise money to cover medical and travel expenses for Isaiah Turrubiates and his family. Last week, Isaiah had open heart surgery and is on the road to recovery. You can join us in supporting him and his family by purchasing a fun drink on Friday morning between 8:00-8:30 in the cafeteria. Drinks will be $5, or free will offering. If there are drinks left, they will also be served over Lunch B. The drink options include: Shirley Temples, Dirty Sodas, or Red Bull Infusions. We hope to see you Friday morning!
Speech Season Starting Soon: A meeting will be held on November 10 at 3:30 PM in the Speech Room. Practices begin on November 17, Monday–Friday, 3:30–5:30 PM. For questions or more information, contact Coach Thurston at Shawn.Thurston@k12.nd.us
PAC the HAC is November 3rd-13th! The class 7-12th who has the highest number in their grade wins! 7-8th graders prize if they win is a pizza party at lunch. For 9-12 it is 30 minutes extra for lunch! This year canned items are positive and any other non-perishable items are negative!
Hi-Liner Activities taking place today: WDA Swimming at Mandan. Band - VCHS Fall Instrumental Concert at 7:30pm at VCSU Center for the Arts.
