Academic Eligibility Checks The next grade check will be on May 22 at 4pm. These grade checks take place to promote academic success and to verify extracurricular eligibility. For the 2025-2026 school year, grade checks will take place during weeks 3, 6, and 9 of each quarter (on Fridays at 4:00pm).

Students must pass at least 3 semester credits (6 classes) per semester to remain eligible. Career/technical classes meeting two periods count as 1 full credit.

Students failing 2 or more classes, or who are behind pace in an online class (9+ assignments behind), will be declared ineligible for 1 week (Monday - Friday).

Ineligible students, parents, and coaches will be notified via email by the AD before Monday. Rechecks occur the following Friday after 4:00pm.

Students who receive a failing grade for the quarter or semester will be declared ineligible for 2 weeks. Fall semester ineligibility carries over to the spring semester. Spring semester ineligibility carries over to the fall semester.

May 22 is a 1/2 day of school!

7 & 8th graders must be in attendance all day and will be dismissed at 12:25.

9-12 graders will have a flex day and are not required to attend, as long they are in good standing. Students who have behavior issues, detentions or unpaid fines and fees will be required to be in attendance on May 22. If you need to be in attendance, the offices will let you know.

SENIOR CHECK OUT: May 21 & 22 will be designated as senior check out days (or the last day for a student who may be gone for activities). Each Senior MUST complete a formal check out process. Forms will be distributed to the students and they must complete this on their last day of attendance, after their very last class. This process will also include turning in school iPad devices and accessories that were checked out to them (cases, cords, charging blocks, pencils etc.). Mr. Peterson will confirm a clean and working locker and will be the absolute last signature on the form which will formally verify the end of the requirements for VCPS and approve their participation in graduation.


Hi-Liner Activities taking place today: Tennis Regional Tournament at 10am at Fargo. Dismiss 7:45am. Track State Tournament at 4pm at Bismarck. Dismiss 10am.
